Bucks players are no longer shy about putting pressure on their teammates.

For the past two years, Giannis Antetokounmpo has not hesitated to speak his mind and put pressure on his coach. This summer, they listened to him and brought in Damian Lillard. But last night, the “Greek Freak” made no bones about pointing the finger at his players’ shortcomings.

After the Bucks’ 128-119 loss to the Pacers, Giannis Antetokounmpo made it clear: the Bucks need to be more organized.

“We’re very talented, but we need to be more organized,” the Greek said. I think sometimes we’re not organized at all. We don’t know what we’re going to do on offense and sometimes on defense we don’t sprint on the break. At the beginning of the game, we rarely shot three-pointers. At the end of the day, you have to be careful with the ball. You have to know where the ball is. Today, we found ourselves in a lot of situations where they had a lot of dunks, open 3-pointers, 3-pointers early in the game …… .

Antetokounmpo was quick to point the finger at the players for their inability to play violent defense and stay in the system.

Giannis Antetokounmpo criticizes Bucks players

“It’s the players who play,” he replied. We’re the ones on the court, aren’t we? Coaches can say whatever they want to make us successful and we want them to. But you have to know how to play soccer, don’t you? For example, if you can’t play defense, it’s not the coach’s fault… It’s not the coach’s fault if you can’t score a goal late in the game, or concede a goal. You only have yourself to blame!

These criticisms reflect Giannis Antetokounmpo’s dissatisfaction with the current state of the Bucks. The team is currently 10th in the Eastern Conference and have yet to find their groove.

If the Bucks want to qualify for the playoffs, they need to get their act together soon.
