Former NBA center Chance Comanche has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Marayna Rodgers. Rodgers was reported missing on December 6, 2023 and her remains were found on December 11, 2023 in Henderson, Nevada.
Coleman was arrested on Friday, December 15, 2023, without bail. He is being held in the Sacramento County Jail.
Comanche and Rogers were dating at the time of Rogers’ disappearance. Rogers was last seen on Dec. 6, 2023, when she was supposed to meet up with Comanche and another man, Sakari Harnden. Harnden was also arrested on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, on $500,000 bail.
The two of them were reportedly seen together on the day Rogers disappeared. They were also seen together in the days leading up to Rogers’ disappearance.
Comanche has a long history of criminal activity. He had been arrested for assault and battery in 2017 and also for possession of a controlled substance in 2023.
Comanche was waived by the Sacramento Kings on December 15, 2023, shortly after his arrest. He had appeared in 11 games for the Kings this season.
Coleman is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, for his trial.
